GENERAL FUNCTION

The Director HRBP serves as an HR generalist and liaison for corporate and franchise initiatives, and operates as a senior generalist and business partner, consultant and coach to the Pearle Vision Leadership Team. The Director HRBP leads innovation of Human Resources best practices within brand team, with focus on Field/Corporate/Franchise synergy and collaboration. In addition, analyzes gaps and recommends/implements approved programs and policies to ensure enhancement and acceptance of initiatives are met. Ensures HR programs,  plans and vendors are aligned to business priorities and monitors effectiveness through the tracking of key measures.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with brand leadership to identify and develop HR strategies, identify gaps and plan processes to directly support business initiatives through people. Acts as liaison with other HR COE teams to coordinate development of programs, systems and processes to be used by brand to support the business.
  • Provides insight, oversight and direction of the Annual Performance Management and Compensation Review process within the business unit.
  • Oversees the management of Talent Reviews and Succession planning for the Field Organization.
  • Responsible for ensuring development provided to employees to elevate and build the skill sets necessary to support success of the business.
  • Collaborates with HR COE on Employee Relations issues, investigations, and resolutions.
  • Partners and supports the Business AnalyticsTeam and Finance to facilitate changes on the employee side of the business that support business operations. Works with cross functional partners to share data from the brand teams, and develops action steps to support improvements/changes. 
  • Serves as an active member of the Pearle Vision Leadership Team
  • Partners with other HR teams such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and HR Operations to coordinate the development and execution of enterprise programs, systems, and processes to be used by the brand/business unit to support the business.
  • Collaborates, strategizes and participates with Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers to acquire and retain top talent with a focus of building a pipeline for future needs. Actively partners with Director of Recruiting and Field Recruiting to build the program supporting implementation and success of OFCCP compliance.  
  • Works closely with management and employees on employee engagement, including improving work relationships, building morale, increasing productivity and retention.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit workforce planning related to succession planning and talent development.
  • Research, benchmark and source vendors/external resources franchise owner can leverage in their busienss to address HR issues such as applicant tracking system, HRIS, payroll, benefits, employee relations, performance management, succession planning and compliance.
  • Provide franchise field leaders support to ensure proper consultation with franchise owners to drive compliance and that proper HR guidance is secured by the franchise owner.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree
  • 10+ years Human Resources experience
  • Experience with coaching, facilitation, associate relations, employment law and leadership
  • Experience with Retail/Store environments
  • Strong business acumen and understanding the financial drivers of company performance

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MA
  • SPHR
  • 2+ years with Executive Level exposure and support
  • Franchise experience
