GENERAL FUNCTION

This role will collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to help support the execution of Luxottica HR programs and initiatives such as talent management, succession planning, performance management, recruiting, compensation planning, and employee relations. Bring fresh thinking to the team, support the development behind strategies, and stay focused on supporting the team and delivering meaningful results.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize a consulting process to help team identify associate performance needs/gaps and recommend solutions to address business issues
  • Ensure managers have the resources to execute appropriate HR practices, processes, tools, and systems
  • Supports Shared Services in all HRIS programs including pay, data, leave, learning, recruiting, etc.
  • Ensures systems and reporting are accurate and develops easy methods to maintain.
  • Provide support on all day-to-day HR initiatives to ensure HR is positioned to execute with excellence
  • Proactively learn and answer basic HR transactional questions – forms to use, people to contact, and ways to increase efficiency for our business
  • Assist in the identification, development and execution of tools to help leaders manage and develop their own people (e.g. individual development plans, performance management, corrective counseling, succession and talent management, and pay-for-performance)
  • Support manager accountability for employee engagement for the business, including development and execution of action plans
  • Assist Sr. HRBPs with developing or deploying change to facilitate transition to future state
  • Effectively prepare managers and leaders to execute change within their departments (e.g., acquisitions, restructuring, etc.)
  • Support and partner with Sr. HRBPs as appropriate to ensure opportunities are addressed systemically and consistently, with a focus on creating a culture of continuous improvement
  • Build and foster collaborative relationships with all team members, leadership and home office departments to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives and business processes
  • Support development and execution of all system and program rollouts

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years’ progressive HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, processes and programs
  • Sense of urgency and drive for results
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated success executing change initiatives
  • Proven ability to work across multiple functions within a matrix environment
  • Responsive, with strong interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork; reinforces one voice of HR
  • Demonstrated ability to treat confidential matters with appropriate discretion
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain an enthusiastic attitude and low stress level
  • Team player with a sense of urgency
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Comfortable conversing with all levels of management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Retail industry experience
