The Sr. Manager of Category will be responsible for pricing and offers for Lenses and Contact Lenses categories at LensCrafters. The role requires strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to set prices and offers as well as implement programs to improve value perception. The work drives customer value and conversion while maximizing the margin and profitability for the business. Scope includes ~$1.3B of product net sales.


  • Lead brand level initiatives with cross-functional teams to grow LensCrafters business through product, pricing and offer initiatives in Lenses and Contact Lenses categories.
  • Coordinate with global Group stakeholders on lens and complete pair pricing, and Minimum Advertised Price policy management.
  • Perform in-depth analysis to identify opportunities for category growth and profitability.
  • Lead research on competitors, provide competitive benchmarking analysis and determine implications for LensCrafters.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of category initiatives in driving business results for the LensCrafters brand.
  • Design and lead pricing and offer tests and develops metrics to track performance.
  • Manage discount rate analysis and forecasting to ensure discount rate is in line with LensCrafters targets and offer strategy.
  • Provide analytical support on business-critical questions, and perform other duties, special projects and activities as required.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to interpret analytical findings into relevant, actionable and understandable business insights and actions
  • Strong reporting and data visualization skills with strong presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with database software (e.g., Business Objects, etc.)
  • Strong detail orientation and ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams on brand level projects


  • MBA with concentration in finance, quantitative marketing, strategy, statistics, or other related quantitative field
  • Independent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of how systems and databases work, and ability to learn quickly
  • Knowledge of analytical tools and approaches
  • Experience with pricing and offer management
  • Project management capability (coordinate cross-functional teams across several work streams)
  • Optical industry experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, take initiative, bring ideas to the team
