GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manager of Fleet is responsible for leading and managing the planning and execution of fleet related projects: opening new stores, temporarily closing/reopening remodels/relocations, store closures, store maintenance and special store projects. Fleet Manager will work directly with internal and external cross functional partners within Luxottica and Retail Host partners, external vendors, and store/field teams to deliver projects within agreed upon financial parameters, scope and service level agreements.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as primary project lead for all store openings, remodels, relocations, closings, maintenance, and special projects.
  • Maintains appropriate reporting and tracks project status against key milestones and evaluates ability to achieve timeline.
  • Coordinates feedback from the field and implements improvements in future Fleet projects and initiatives
  • Tracks and maintains assessment of store “health”, number of store openings/closures and delays, closed out punch items, capital and operational expense budgets, and processes/procedures to measure and analyze overall effectiveness and associate engagement.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of store operations and execution and represent the voice of the field/stores on all projects and initiatives.
  • Support coordination and implementation planning of approved Fleet strategies, ensuring appropriate initiative prioritization.
  • Identifies and troubleshoots key areas of opportunity for the business and develops plans to improve processes and overcome challenges.
  • Demonstrates acute planning and follow up skills.
  • Serves as Fleet Management SME on cross-functional project teams as needed.
  • Recommends solutions and enhancements to known store/field, Cincinnati Service Center and Target host cross functional challenges.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with the Host, and Brand partners and Cincinnati Service Center Departments.
  • Identify opportunities and implement changes to Fleet processes, provide feedback to cross functional partners, and/or development enhancements to physical store design

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years’ experience in specialty retail operations or similar function
  • 4+ years project management experience or equivalent
  • Ability to lead multiple cross-functional teams and adapts well to change
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to execute projects within the given timeframes
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Results oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Self-motivated and ability to work under high pressure conditions with little to no supervision
  • Proficiency of Windows software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Project Management experience within retail
  • Experience with corporate store operations
  • Experience working in a retail environment, supporting store operations
  • Ability to read and understand architectural documents
