Market Strategy Specialist

JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Market Strategy team mission is to design Luxottica’s commercial & distribution strategy for Frames category. In particular, the specific team aims to

focus on distribution (where) and timing of new collections launches (when) strategic pillars. The new resource we are looking for is a passionate &

self-motivated person that will be part of our team, reporting directly into Market Strategy Manager.

Key responsibilities will be linked to standard e non-standard analysis process, in order to identify eventual business areas of improvement.

 

Main responsibilities of the resource will be:

  • Be responsible for key reporting ongoing process such as VIP evaluation (monitoring & evaluation process for specific Special Projects with high strategic focus by release), decentralized analysis (specific analysis based of wholesale decentralized channel by market)
  • Support managers & top management delivering high quality insights
  • Be able to perform ad hoc/on demand analysis by channel, market, product category, price positioning, distribution channel and to produce top quality presentation
  • Support in brands distribution processes, involving key Product & marketing stakeholders when relevant (ie: brand approval flow, brands performance review, etc)
  • Support GTM calendars strategy analysis & processes in order to estimate potential new areas of improvement for new launches (Late additions, Calendars validation, etc)
  • Get involved in other categories strategic management (ie: AFA, Wearables) 

 

Main Competencies to succeed within the role are:

  • ability to obtain, organize, analyse and evaluate complex data, coming from different resources
  • super user of basic business analysis tools (MS Excel)
  • experience in database management
  • Ability to understand main industry KPIs and propose new one
  • strong ability to plan & organize short and mid term tasks, in line with business priorities
  • excellent relational & communication skills
  • strong flexibility, ability to work under pressure & with tight deadlines & self-motivation are a must
  • accuracy & precision is a must
  • team worker & collaborative
  • Eyewear product industry previous experience would be a plus

 

​​​​​​​AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:

  • VIP process – Monitoring & Evaluation process for Very Important Products, in term of Special Projects by each release.
  • Decentralized analysis – Produce specific recurring reporting, analyse key highights, coordinate with key markets to collect insights/feedback & produce ad hoc presentation in order to share with main stakeholders
  • Brands distribution process – Coordinate with markets/channel to collect new brands opening request, analyse business opportunity & propose go/no go outcome
  • Ad hoc analysis on Top management request (self portrait, etc)
  • Coordination & support on other streams/project, when required (AFA calendar digitalization project, Omnichannel calendar project, Wearables strategy, etc)

 

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Educational Background in Economics & Business, Statistics, Management
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in consultancy, business analysis intelligence, market strategy or similar role
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office software packages (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams)
  • Solid experience with Business Object or similar Business Intelligence platforms (complex universe merge, formulas literacy, dashboard/reporting creation & automation)
  • Use of Power BI or similar analytics dashboard (Qlik, Tableau, etc) should be a plus
  • Strong presentation skills
