The Marketing Manager develops and executes the Trade Marketing strategy of the CHANEL Brand to achieve defined business objectives. Works in close alignment with Brand Team, CHANEL License, Channel of Trade, Account Managers, and Corporate Brand Trade Marketing Team. The Marketing Manager ensures the proper development, execution and benchmarking of all programs designed to increase brand visibility in accordance with the CHANEL standards.


  • Leads and follows through on all Trade Marketing initiatives to ensure proper strategy is in place to meet both brand and customer expectations.
  • Spearheads cross functional teams for opportunities to optimize brand visibility and support of key collection launches.
  • Plans, allocates, and manages the North American trade marketing budget to ensure the correct ROI in terms of business and image results.
  • Sources and manages global and local vendors to create and produce permanent buildout installations in department stores, custom in-store and window executions, and event kits.
  • Works directly with CHANEL designers and provides commercial and design feedback to help ensure optimized design for the brand and accounts; responsible for shop space negotiation with customers.
  • Develops merchandising and execution guidelines for the sales team and in-store specialists to ensure correct execution at store level.
  • Manages and creates collateral for Seasonal In–Store activations.
  • Liaises with sales teams to monitor and report all TM activities including ROI analysis for the global Corporate Visual Merchandising team.


  • BA/BS
  • 5+ years of Trade Marketing management experience
  • Trade Marketing experience supporting retailers
  • High level of computer literacy: Excel, Word PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to travel (approximately 30%)


  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business or Sales
  • 5+ years of Trade Marketing management experience in luxury or beauty industry
