GENERAL FUNCTION

 

The Marketing Specialist aides in the development and execution of account specific trade marketing plans. The Specialist works in conjunction with the Trade Marketing Manager to provide support in executing in-store events and applicable programs designed to drive business across all channels of Trade (IND, KA, DS). These may include; sales contests, holiday promotions, seasonal events, etc. and works closely with the Trade Marketing Manager, and is responsible to collaborate with Sales, Brand Marketing and Trade Marketing peers to ensure flawless execution of Trade Marketing and brand initiatives.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manages all CMD requests for North American wholesale and military sales orgs
  • Works with incoming requests from all departments- ie: credit; distribution; discounts; DC
  • Central point of contact to open and maintain customer profile(s)
  • Manage sales area data and general data information for over 20,000 customer records
  • Responsible for mass system updates pertaining to the customer profile
  • Maintains EDI and VAS specifications
  • Ensures accurate Sales Consultant and Account Managers are assigned to proper divisions for commissions and reporting purposes
  • Ensures Luxottica brands are strategically positioned and presented in a brand enhancing way to achieve defined business objectives established by the Marketing Department and are consistent with Luxottica’s goals, guidelines and objectives.
  • Works directly with IT department for systematic malfunctions
  • Ability to multitask on multiple projects
  • Prioritization and understanding when to bring escalated issues to management
  • Maintaining a 24-48 turn-around time for all incoming requests  

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles and practices
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ yr of project management experience
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • High level of computer literacy: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP
  • Ability to prioritize and handle additional responsibilities as required and assigned
  • Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with a high attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Ability to travel domestically (8-10x per year)
