STARS is a state of the art Merchandising Management partnership that Luxottica offers to select accounts to help them maximize their merchandising turns by managing the Assortment Planning and the related replenishment routines on the customer’s behalf.

The STARS Product Planning Specialist will lead the evolution, conceptualization, planning, and requirements gathering process driving the execution of strategic assortments for STARs North American clients. As the Product Specialist, you will work closely with the Global Product Team, clients, Sales, Planning and Production to execute strategic objectives for the company by bringing new and fast turning assortments to the North American market.




  • Analyse customer’s board space within and outside the Luxottica perimeter to work as an advocate of the category to determine ideal board space allocation within each brand segment
  • Lead the new customer’s onboarding as it pertains to their current styling choices, current sell in sell outs/ align Product team on findings and coordinate the communication flow between Product, Customer, Sales and Planning through its launch
  • Work as the ambassador for Product at market week in meeting customers, explaining assortment choices and channelling feedback to relevant internal parties
  • Communicate with the STARs Product team to create/select appropriate assortments and the Phase-in Phase-out Brand/ SKU process 2-3 times a year
  • Audit assortment refresh routines to make sure that newness selection its translation in the system speaks to the agreed customers specificities
  • Analyse sell out to formulate suggestions on brand matrixes (brand and piece count) to maximize the turns on board space – also conduct deep dives on TY vs LY SKU performance to explain swings in comps and drive assortment optimization with Product


  • Coordinate execution of the marketing end of exclusive/special product releases working with Trade Marketing
  • Collect Marketing Calendars working with Trade Marketing and assess ROI of key events/ investment
  • Assist on selected business initiatives/projects to support STARS development



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Informatics or Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of previous experience on Merchandising Planning with established retailers
  • Strong analytic skills and business acumen
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to cut through complexity
  • Excellent ability to identify business issues and solve them autonomously
  • Knowledge Oracle RPAS and JDA preferred
